Motorbikes, especially luxury brands, can be a bit too expensive. For enthusiasts on a tight budget, settling for a second hand bike might be the closest they can get to the chance of owning their very own bikes.
Benefits of buying a 2nd hand motorbike
Aside from saving tons of fortune from purchasing a second hand bike, some may benefit from age-of-vehicle discounts on your insurance. They offer an efficient and enjoyable mode of transportation at a bargain price. They also require little in the way of maintenance spending.
Tips to get the best deal
Doing your research is step one. It can be a risky affair if you don’t know what to look for. Choosing where to buy your motorbike is also important. Dealerships may charge premiums but you can take advantage of their knowledge. Private purchase on the other hand gives you a more personal experience plus the chance to negotiate on the price. Before buying a bike, you should closely inspect what you are getting. Perform rudimentary safety tests to determine that it is functioning well. Also look for evidence of repair work. Take the motorbike for a test ride to get a better idea of whether or not it’s a good fit for you.
Purchasing second hand motorbikes requires an effort on the part of the buyer. Do not think only of the amount of money you can save. Since you are not assured of a high-quality product, meticulous inspection can help give you a good purchase.

If you use a motorcycle, it is important to be aware of basic motorcycle safety. Many motorcycle accidents are actually preventable had the involved parties follow these basic safety rules.
Wear the right motorcycle gear.
First of all, it is important to wear the right motorcycle gear for the sake of motorcycle safety. This includes a fitting helmet and riding gloves. You may also include knee pads and elbow pads. A riding jacket may also be necessary when riding through cool climate.
Check the motorcycle before you hit the road.
It is also important to do a basic check of your motorcycle before using it. Check your gas level and test your brakes. Likewise, constantly check the threading of your wheels as these affect the quality and safety of your ride.
Keep your eyes on the road.
Lastly, for the sake of your safety and the safety of those around you, keep your eyes on the road when riding your motorcycle. A motorcycle rider should always be aware of the road since motorcycles offer less protection than cars and the like.

When my friend Paul dropped by my unit, riding a Ducati 749, I mumbled, "It must be my lucky day!" I've been lusting to test drive this hot new bike and even if Paul was reluctant at first, how could I let this rare opportunity pass me by? I'm a good damn rider but with a meager earning, I couldn't possibly afford this stylish shit! But hey, when you pray hard, you may get your wish right at your doorstep. So my journey with Ducati 749 began!
It's a mouth-watering treat just to look at this rare beauty. Ducati 749 did take my breath away! When I could no longer hold out to excitement, I decided to jump on it and rev up the power engine. When I tried to swerve off the road, I felt the light comfort and flexibility of this motorcycle. It zooms with enhanced reliablity, plus it has terrific modern designs, like that of a personal mobile phone. I'm sure, if Paul should tire of his Ducati 749, many will still be interested of its second-hand value. It's a classic!
Even if I was struck in awe and had instantly fallen for this elite motorcycle ride, I have to face the reality that Ducati 749 is much much more of stylish sports bike than a practical ride. With its exorbitant price and impractical touches, like the ridiculous mirror frames, it's not built for common everyday use. I had to admit that I fumbled for the lever. Hey, it can be uncomfortable at times. Maybe this dream bike isn't really meant for me and I'm better off with my old junk!

It will be a fight to the finish between two relentless teams for the 2006 AMA Ford Quality Checked Flat Track Twins chamionship. With the Screamin' Eagle versus Quality Pre-Owned Ford Harley-Davidson match, the last four races will be crucial to test their agility and speed. Although Chris Carr led the initial race tracks, Screamin' Eye is still headstrong, hoping that the team will make it to the end. If there's a dominating theme in motorcycle racing, it is to vow never to give up or let up without reaching the finish line.

Kenny Coolbeth was all mighty and hopeful, yet he fell short on winning against Chris Carr of the Ford Harley-Davidson team. The Screamin' Eagle racer finished second, a runner-up for the Hagerstown track. Conceding his defeat, Coolbeth was looking forward to another mano-a-mano with Carr. This time, he promised to dig up dirt past his racing rival. The head-on continues this season while Coolbeth's team is already gearing up for road vengeance. A loss may never trifle their racing spirit. Anyway, it will be fun to see them race to death!
Friday, May 11. 2007
Better luck next time! Kenny Coolbeth will have to wait next year before he attempts to break a winning streak by Chris Carr. It was one tough race for the Hagerstown battle but Carr made his way around to prevent the Screamin' Eagle driver from inching his way past victory. Chris Carr of the Ford Harley-Davidson team was 12 points ahead to the finish line. In this particular duel between Carr and Coolbeth, every point was crucial. One lost swerve and you back off from speed and trail behind your nemesis. Luckily for Carr, he's got a winning charm for speed and flexibility.

When you ride a two-wheel drive, of course, you must assume its risk and dangers. Even if you're a good, damn rider, accidents are inevitable and they usually happen when you least expect it. So to have yourself fully covered by a motorcycle insurance is proven to be a worthy investment. It's one step toward safety and another step toward comfort and reliability. Should anything happen to you, you'll be ready to face the consequences. One big hurdle in getting a motorcycle insurance is to know which has the best policy for your needs.
Wednesday, May 9. 2007
Remember to inquire about the insurance before you even think of buying a motorcycle. There are many cases when getting an insurance is not a suitable option for the buyer such as expensive machines, crime rate area, or under age requirements but this should not stop anyone from fulfilling his duty as a rider. What you need is to search for an insurance company with excellent options. Ask first of the requirements and its plans of ensuring your future and welfare.

What are the things to consider in motorcycle insurance covergae? Make sure that they have the following: Liability coverage, Collision coverage, No-fault coverage, Service coverage, Uninsured coverage, and
Passenger coverage. You may also consider having Bodily Injury Liability. It is a valuable coverage for other people you may endanger in motorcycle mishap or collision. Although insurance policies may be expensive, it's still wise to counter future damage on your health and personal finance.

If you've got doubts on your skill and confidence, man, don't ever think about riding a motorcycle! Because riding is only for winners like me. There's no place for wimps like you especially when you blaze the road with nothing more than a helmet and a jacket and your two-wheel drive. Luck has nothing to do with riding a motorcycle when half of the time you deal with speed and precision. When car accidents happen, people call up the car loans and insurance claims. But when motorcycle riders skid off the road, they stand up and ride again despite the danger.

I take my ride seriously and I pay no respect for losers. That's why I always choose the best motorcycle, something that will ease off the burden and pressure whenever I take a chance on life and adventure. Recently, I've been into Kawasaki brands which I think is a no-nonsense motorcycle compared to a BMW. So when I heard that the new Kawasaki model for 2007 will debut in Europe, I said, "Damn, we deserve to have it first in America!" Although it seems like this new edition of Kawasaki bike is not headed for the U.S. market, that will change soon as they realize that American riders are born winners and they can only settle with the best.
Saturday, May 5. 2007
The new 2007 Kawasaki model is called the Versys. It is short for Versatile System. This one is a supermoto featuring a long-stroke suspension with fully adjustable upside-down forks and powered by tuned-for-torque version of the 649cc parallel twin engine. It can weather all road conditions from rough terrains to smooth concrete pavements. You definitely can handle a ride whether it may be in the city or the mountains. This bike is sweet and challenging. I wish they can have it on the market soon before we get clobbered with wishful thinking and unattainable dreams.

By now, I know you've heard how many damn racers and riders have collided off the road to a tree, gutter, and even dumb old posts. You are very well aware of the risks and perils of a two-wheel drive, but what will change your mind to actually consider riding into one? There are actually three. You can park it anywhere, you can save energy, and it's cheaper. Think about the perks of a motorcycle ride.

The fuel prices are going berserk in the world market. If America can only build its own oil pipe line, then it will solve half of America's energy crisis. Maybe Bush is contemplating on it so for now, a motor bike is your good alternative. It is high in fuel efficiency and low in pollution. You can be Captain Planet and at the same time you can trail the road with more money on your pocket.
Wednesday, May 2. 2007
Do you know how many cars are repossessed every year for failing to pay debt and loan? I can only assume that lots of people worry about it. So why don't you resort to a cheaper alternative? A motorbike is flexible, convenient, and easy to maintain. Maybe motorcycles will be just the perfect ride for you!

Slithering like snake, blazing with the speed of light, and they're not superheroes. They're just motocross racers minus the red cape. Even if they're all geared up to avoid the slightest scratch, they can't stamp out disaster out of their chosen course of action. A skid off the tracks and they're in danger. But an instinctive swerve can give them even a second's lead past their opponent. They get the same thrill and action like Peter Parker and Clark Kent, only this time it's real. Motocross racing is like a game of snakes and ladders. One minute you're on your way up, the other minute you're on your way down. Bumpy curves can't say for sure which path you're going to land. It's one great show, so I'm watching closely who will win the Toyota AMA Motocross Series race.
Monday, April 30. 2007
If they say that practice makes perfect, then Rick Carmichael is on the bright side of winning a grand slam for the Toyota AMA Mototcross Series race. He led the timed-practice at the round 7 of the Thunder Valley Motocross Park in Lakewood, Colorado. He sure was lucky with a Makita Suzuki rushing for a 2 second-lead from series rival James Stewart. It was close but sorry for Stewart, there is no runner- up in racing. Motocross is definitely in no search for a good racer, only the best driver with agility, faith, and strength. If Carmichael can make a solid finish after the practice, then it will be his sixth Toyota series title. And I bet he won't let Stewart come too close in grabbing the title.
Sunday, April 29. 2007
Better luck next time, the runner-ups have to do better on the actual Toyota AMA Series race. James Stewart should strive further than 2:13.468 if he wishes to catch up on Rick Carmicheal who posted the best time of 2:11.097. I know, 2 damn seconds! But he needed it desperately so he can speed up on his competitive stance in the winning the race. Close enough is not good enough in motocross racing. Stewart has to make comeback after a crash at Unadilla. Besides Carmichael, he has to watch out for Timmy Ferry who made finished third at 2:14.408. Ferry's been training nearby Colorado Springs. He may pull out a surprise on Stewart and Carmichael. We'll see if this training can make a difference.

Expect another good performance from Honda Australia in the Oceania motocross, that's after they announced that 23-year old Kiwi sensation Cody Cooper re-signed with the team for 2007. With Cody leading the team, Honda Australia is sure to be the most formidable in the tournament. General Manager Tony Hinton also said that another marque player in the person of Motocross Champion Craig Anderson will be returning to the team next year. It simply means that with the addition of Cooper, Honda will have it's “strongest” line-up for many years.
Friday, April 27. 2007
Cody Cooper is considered as one of the most promising motocross player today. He has won a number of international and national competitions. In 2004, he won the Pro Lite title in Australia. He is also also a strong competitor in Supercross, often finishing in the top three. Right now, Cooper is concentrating more on his racing career in Australia. He is currently running third in the Pro Open class. With the last round to go and with only seven points separating him and the second placer, there is a great possibility that he can snatch the second spot, giving Honda a one, two finish in the tournament. He will be seen next in the last round of the Australian Motocross Championships to be held at Coolum, QLD this coming weekend.
Thursday, April 26. 2007
With Cooper and other players in the team line-up, Honda's success in the tournament next year is a great possibility. That's why General Manager Tony Hinton is very much excited about it, and said that they have every faith that Cody will be able to back Ando up in the podium. He added that Cooper has the talent and focus to take out an Open Championship on his own merits. I couldn't think of a team that could say no to a man like him. Cooper, on the other hand, said things have been very good for him since he first signed with Honda Australia a few years ago. He sees his team as very strong and he's happy to be part of it.

For John, stress is an inevitable truth for a so-called life. He always feels fucked up with every quirk or wrinkle he needs to iron out, the family, the boss, friends, and even his own mother-in-law. What turns out to be a minor case of stress became a worrying hazard for John. Before he even go nuts and blow his brains out, he decided to consult a psychiatrist.
